We enjoyed our visit to Olsen Ranch near Harrisburg, Nebraska. Art and Douglas showed us their steers on test. They have been a test herd for the AHA's National Reference Sire Program (NRSP) since 1999. In 2010 the Olsens added a GrowSafe system to their feedlot, which allows the collection of feed efficiency data. We also went through the cow herd and the heifers.
